How to finance the campaign. This is very likely the most important thing you will have to take care of. A campaign like this will cost you anywhere from twenty to two hundred thousand dollars. While this is considerably less than running a ballot initiative campaign it is a lot of money. |

| Depending on what state you live in you may get some sort of tax relief for contributors. You may also try and find those contributors who give money to the Libertarian Party as you platform will be very similar.
You should also look at ways that the campaign can pay for itself. For example, instead giving away signs - sell them. People will pay for Marijuana Party sign or T shirt. The Republicrats have to give them away.
*Special Note. Unless you are selling them for a profit - do not use signs for a Marijuana Party campaign. Use your dollars some other way. Experience has shown that 200 Marijuana Party signs can be planted in an evening and by the next evening 99% of them will be hanging next to the basement beer fridges of your state.
