My name is Richard J. Rawlings, and I head up the USMJP. I would like to welcome you to the USMJParty political website and forum.



Short bio,



I started smoking weed at the age of 12. I was a marijuana and hashish dealer for 20 years. Ending my dealing days in 1998, and became a pro-marijuana activist that year.



The U.S. Marijuana Party was Founded by Loretta Nall, with the help of Marc Emery in November 2002.



I joined the U.S. Marijuana Party early 2003, soon after I started an Illinois State Chapter.



In 2005 the United States Marijuana Party had chapters in over 30 states. We were the fastest growing political party, until the DEA raid on Marc Emery, and his business Marc Emery Direct Seeds.



Loretta Nall, left the USMJParty early 2006 to run for Govenor of Alabama as a Libertarian. This is when I was left in charge of the USMJParty.



Without the funding we had before the raid on Marc Emery it has been a slow go rebuilding the USMJParty.



The DEA tried to shut us down in 2005, but we still survive!



With a lil hard work I'd like to have chapters in over 30 states again, by the year 2010.

Hi all...I am new here but I joined in order to help get the word out about the medical MJ bill up for N.C.
I have wrote my local reps but got negative replies from them...It still will not deter me. This is something I truly believe in so I will fight for it.
